Beauty cannot be defined by a single standard. Skin color, body type, age, and disability are no exception. Guided by this belief, Amorepacific continues to advance its “Inclusive Project,” an initiative designed to foster diversity and inclusiveness both within and beyond the organization while promoting sustainable growth alongside all stakeholders. For Amorepacific, inclusiveness means cultivating a workplace where employees from diverse backgrounds can freely exchange ideas and grow together in an open environment. It also means creating products and initiating communications for everyone to experience and enjoy beauty, without barriers.

The Strongest Foundation for Diversity

Amorepacific’s Diversity and Inclusivity Policy is built upon four core principles. First, every individual has the right to have their unique characteristics respected. Differences in age, gender, nationality, and disability status are not grounds for discrimination, but rather attributes to be recognized and respected. Second, discrimination is not tolerated under any circumstances throughout the employed period, including hiring, job performance, and promotion. This principle equally applies to any discriminatory treatment of individuals belonging to legally protected groups. Third, all employees are encouraged to freely share their perspectives on diversity and inclusivity, and to collaborate in ways that embrace diverse viewpoints and foster inclusiveness. Fourth, we promote the value of diverse and inclusive beauty throughout product development and marketing communications. Guided by these four principles, Amorepacific internally fosters an inclusive organizational culture while externally advancing communications that reflect and respect diversity.

Embedding Diversity and Inclusivity into Everyday Practice

Amorepacific has identified diversity and inclusiveness as one of the core pillars of its 2030 sustainability goals. By advancing these values both within and beyond the organization, the Company strives to achieve harmonious growth alongside all stakeholders. To ensure that these principles become an integral part of its corporate culture, Amorepacific operates a range of educational initiatives and programs. The Company also seeks to incorporate the values of diversity and inclusiveness across its products and services. Furthermore, through ongoing external communications and campaigns, Amorepacific aims to contribute to the creation of a more inclusive society.

Publishing Diverse & Inclusive Communication Guide and Delivering Employee Training

To help ensure that diversity and inclusiveness are considered in external brand communications, including advertising, social media content, and campaigns, Amorepacific developed and distributed its “Diverse and Inclusive Beauty Communication Guide” to employees. The guide provides principles and recommendations for fostering inclusive communication across a range of dimensions, including race, culture, disability, age, and body type. In addition, Amorepacific delivered diverse and inclusive communication training to employees across different sectors, such as design, marketing, and sales. Through interviews with employees from key brand business units, the Company assessed potential risks and provided recommendations for improving communication practices. In 2024, Amorepacific introduced tailored onboarding programs to help new employees naturally internalize diversity and inclusivity from the outset of their employment. New graduate hires participated in e-learning programs covering the Company’s policies and implementation practices, while experienced hires joining the organization received in-person training. These programs included not only case-based learning but also activities designed to raise awareness of and mitigate unconscious bias. In 2025, to further strengthen awareness among its global workforce, Amorepacific distributed videos on “Diversity & Inclusiveness” to employees across 17 overseas subsidiaries as part of a mandatory training program. The initiative was also expanded to include employees preparing for overseas assignments.

Diversity & Inclusivity Programs that Drive Awareness and Change

Amorepacific implements diversity and inclusivity awareness programs for employees in connection with socially meaningful observances and commemorative days. In 2023, in celebration of International Women’s Day, the Company hosted a special lecture for employees by author and big data expert Song Gil-young under the theme, “The Advantage of Diversity: Why Thoughtful and Diverse Approaches Matter More.” The session provided an opportunity for employees to explore diversity from a corporate perspective, exchange ideas, and engage in meaningful dialogue on the topic. In addition, through “Amore Blooming,” the Company’s internal live online streaming program, Amorepacific marked the National Day of Persons with Disabilities by introducing “WE DREAM,” a standard workplace for persons with disabilities, and its “Universal Advisory Group.” Through these initiatives, employees were able to learn about and share practical examples of diversity and inclusivity in action.

Beauty for All, Developing Universal Design Stickers

Amorepacific’s belief that everyone should be able to experience and enjoy beauty is reflected in the products closest to consumers. Since 2023, the Company has operated the “Universal Advisory Group” composed of employees with visual impairments from WE DREAM. By incorporating their perspectives throughout the development process, from product planning to sample examination, Amorepacific has sought to ensure that products are designed with accessibility in mind. These efforts also led to the development of universal design stickers. Produced in two formats, Braille stickers for individuals who are blind and large-print stickers for individuals with impaired vision, the stickers have been distributed free of charge. They represent a practical way of bringing the belief that beauty belongs to everyone closer to the product experience.

Amorepacific’s commitment to diversity and inclusivity extends beyond policy. It is embedded throughout the organization, reaching employee education, communication guidelines, awareness-building initiatives, and even a small sticker applied to a product. As part of its vision of a world where no one is excluded from beauty, Amorepacific will continue to advance its Inclusive Project.
