– Amorepacific’s employee-led volunteer group “APnanums” takes the initiative to give back to local communities
– Continuing a wide range of volunteer activities in communities across Korea, including Seoul, Gwangju, Jeonju, and Jeju
Amorepacific’s employee-led volunteer group “APnanums” has successfully completed its fourth round of activities. Launched in October 2023, APnanums brings together Amorepacific employees who voluntarily take the initiative to give back to their communities.
Approximately 160 employees participated in the fourth APnanums cohort, forming 13 teams and carrying out volunteer activities of their own design over a period of approximately five months. The “Mom-Pyeonhan-Nal” team invited eight single mothers of diverse nationalities who are raising their children on their own to Amorepacific’s headquarters. The team provided professional makeup services, scalp analyses, studio profile photo sessions, and an art museum tour, giving participants the opportunity to focus entirely on themselves and rediscover their inner and outer beauty.
Active in Gwangju, Jeonju, and other regions, the “31” team—whose name represents “three teams with one heart”—participated in rural volunteer work during the autumn. The team donated the sweet potatoes they harvested to underserved communities in the Jeonnam region. At Christmas, members carefully prepared 100 candy gift packs and personally delivered them to children at a residential care facility. They also regularly conducted environmental cleanup activities around Gwangjucheon Stream and Jeonjucheon Stream, contributing to the improvement of their local communities. In addition, the fourth APnanums cohort carried out a wide range of volunteer activities, including mentoring young people, supporting children in residential care, serving as guide runners for marathoners with visual impairments, assisting animal shelters, hiking cleanups, and plogging along the Han River—extending a helping hand wherever it was needed.
“Members from our regional business sites in Gwangju, Jeonju, and Jeju, as well as those at our headquarters, joined the fourth APnanums cohort, allowing us to further spread the spirit of giving,” said an Amorepacific CSR Team representative. “We will continue working with APnanums to carry out a wide range of volunteer activities for a more beautiful world.”
