– Six youth environmental crews collect 1,097 kg of plastic over two months—equivalent to approximately 70,000 500 mL water bottles
– Social media content featuring on-site activities records approximately 50,000 cumulative impressions, expanding awareness of plastic reduction
Amorepacific has concluded ‘FANTASTIC CREW Season 2,’ conducted as part of its plastic reduction campaign, ‘LESS PLASTIC. WE ARE FANTASTIC!’ Launched with a kickoff ceremony in June and held over approximately two months, Season 2 went one step further than Season 1, which encouraged everyday action, by expanding its scope to directly collecting plastic in marine environments, mountains, urban areas, and other natural settings.
FANTASTIC CREW Season 2 was developed under the concept of ‘FANTASTIC CREW in NATURE’ in partnership with WWF, an international nonprofit conservation organization, using KRW 50 million in donations raised through Amorepacific’s employee matching gift program. Six crews—SEOMSUP, SREKKER, GOGO DIVE, Ploving Korea, SSJ Club, and CLEAN HIKERS—and approximately 360 young people participated in the campaign, collecting a total of 3,306 kg of waste across the country, from uninhabited islands to urban parks. Of this, approximately 1,097 kg was plastic, equivalent to about 70,000 500 mL water bottles.
The on-site activities also extended into online content. Each crew shared content on social media documenting the plastic collection process and the severity of environmental issues caused by plastic, recording approximately 50,000 cumulative impressions. Through this, the crews raised awareness of their on-site actions and broadened interest in and support for plastic reduction among younger generations.

An Amorepacific official said, “By directly collecting plastic in the field together with young people, we saw the potential of actions that connect everyday life with natural environments,” adding, “We will continue our efforts so that a range of actions to reduce plastic can take root as a sustainable culture.” The diverse and candid stories of the six participating crews are available in detail on Amorepacific Stories.
Meanwhile, since declaring ‘Unlimited Corporate Responsibility’ in 1993, Amorepacific has built a plastic circularity model centered on its 4R Strategy (Reduce, Recycle, Reuse, Return), reducing unnecessary plastic use, improving recyclability, and reusing and collecting containers. Since 2009, the company has conducted a cosmetic container collection campaign, collecting a cumulative 2,840 tons of empty containers through 2025.
