Amorepacific has received official verification from The Climate Group, which administers the global renewable energy initiative RE100, for its transition to renewable electricity across all global business sites. Following its entry into RE100 in 2021 as the first company in Korea’s beauty industry to join the initiative, Amorepacific has now been officially recognized for achieving RE100 in 2025.

Amorepacific steadily increased the share of renewable electricity used across the company from approximately 5% in 2020, completing its company-wide transition to renewable electricity in 2025. This achievement goes beyond fulfilling a voluntary commitment and reflects the company’s continued efforts to pursue sustainable growth in harmony with the planet. Even in the early stages, when the conditions for procuring renewable energy were not yet fully established, Amorepacific led Korea’s renewable energy market by entering into Direct Power Purchase Agreements (Direct PPAs) and Virtual Power Purchase Agreements (VPPAs). The company also made large-scale investments to actively utilize unused areas across its business sites, expanding its on-site solar power capacity from 196 kW in 2011 to approximately 7,145 kW today.

Amorepacific’s climate management achievements are also extending throughout its supply chain. In a recent assessment by CDP, a global environmental disclosure organization, Amorepacific received the highest rating of A not only for climate change response and water security, but also in the Supplier Engagement Assessment (SEA). This recognition reflects the company’s efforts to establish a foundation for reducing greenhouse gas emissions with its key business partners and strengthen its climate response system.
