To actively participate in overcoming the national energy crisis, Amorepacific is launching an energy-saving campaign across all of its worksites.

Effective today (the 9th), all affiliates of the Amorepacific Group are encouraged to implement a “5-day vehicle rotation system” at all domestic worksites. This applies to both company vehicles and employees commuting by personal cars, recommending that they refrain from driving one day a week based on the last digit of their license plates. Electric and hydrogen vehicles, as well as vehicles for people with disabilities, pregnant women, and those accompanying preschool-aged children, are exempt from this system.

Energy consumption standards at the corporate headquarters and each regional worksite will also be adjusted. In alignment with government-recommended guidelines, the indoor temperature settings will be raised for cooling during summer and lowered for heating during winter. Lighting hours in office spaces and common areas will be reduced, and the supply of general hot water to sinks will be suspended during the summer season.

Travel and mobilization management will be tightened as well. International business trips will be minimized, limited only to essential and urgent matters, while the use of video conferencing will be expanded. Domestic business trips, including in-person group training sessions, will be scaled back overall, and unavoidable trips will be kept to a minimum number of personnel for the shortest duration possible.

Alongside these structural measures, the company will run campaigns encouraging voluntary energy-saving practices among employees. Efforts focused on daily action—such as reducing food waste, cutting down on single-use items, and promoting the use of personal tumblers—will be continuously implemented.

Moving forward, Amorepacific plans to progressively expand various measures to enhance energy efficiency and will continue to actively cooperate with the government’s energy reduction policies.
